Talk It in Our Hearts

~ Release by Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band with The Miami Horns (see all versions of this release, 4 available)

Annotation

Upon close examination of the audience recording of the March 6, 1977 show at Jai Alai Fronton in Miami, FL it has been discovered it is the exact same recording as ‘Jacksonville (& My Father’s Place)’. The evidence we have strongly suggests that the recording actually dates from March 6, and therefore no audio circulates from March 4 in Jacksonville. The tapes used for the recent JEMS Archive release of March 6 were obtained in the 80s, pre‐dating the 1996 release of ’Jacksonville (& My Father’s Place). Unfortunately the taper of this fine recording, John Tsalikes, passed away in 2003.

- Edited from MD CD 064/065 silver rip.
- This show is sometimes attributed as soundboard, but it’s clearly an audience recording (a very good one).
- Disc 1 Tracks 8 & 9 with The Miami Horns.
- Disc 2 Tracks 2, 8 & 9 with The Miami Horns.
- Lewiston ‘77 bonus tracks include “Don’t Look Back” with some alternate lyrics and “Backstreets” with the ’fucking town into sea’ line.
- Bonus track from Milwaukee ‘77 (’Return To Bombscare Arena’) is the amazing “Quarter To Three” which lasts about 10 minutes.
- Bonus tracks from East Lansing ‘76 (’Rise Like The Rain’) include some rarities – full band “Meeting Across The River”, live premiere of “Frankie” and “Rosalita” with an instrumental introduction.

=======

“Although the tape is incomplete, the sound and performance of what does exist is incredible. The circulating tape is supposedly from the soundboard, and while that might not be 100% accurate, the sound is amazing. The introductory story to “It’s My Life” is one of the best, again featuring Bruce talk about his relationship with his father, is very emotional. And this version of “Backstreets” could be nominated for one of the best ever.” – theboots.net

- Good luck finding the spot where I took the title this time.
