Bob Marley is an artist that needs no introduction. Known, loved and respected throughout the world. Marley carries the torch of responsibility for taking Reggae music and the rastafari movement out of Jamaica and bringing it to a worldwide audience. This compilation brings together 45 tracks, cut between 1968 and 1972, his pre-Island records days, representing Bob Marley & The Wailers at what is widely regarded to be the pinnacle of their creativity as a unit. Produced by Lee Scratch Perry, Leslie Kong and Johhny Nash & Danny Sims, these sessions yielded the original versions of the songs such as 400 Years, Small Axe, Kaya and Satisfy My Soul.

Compiled lovingly by Lloyd Bradley, renowned author of Bass Culture: When Reggae Was King and also includes exclusive notes by Lloyd.
