May Fair (Golden Slumbers “traditional” setting)
~ Song
Annotation
Perhaps the first published setting of Golden Slumbers to music. This song by itself is very well known as a lullaby, and this melody (taken from A Beggar's Opera, air IX) is re-used in many later settings and arrangements.
