O Canada (English version by Robert Stanley Weir)
~ Song
Annotation
Robert Stanley Weir wrote this English version in 1908, one that is not a literal translation of the original French lyrics written by Adolphe-Basile Routhier. Weir's lyrics have been revised twice, taking their present form in 1980, but the French lyrics remain unaltered.
