Live at The Metro

Annotation

Super limited release and long out of print.

Recorded in 2004 at The Metro in Chicago, Illinois

We played a full band show downstairs and then immediately went upstairs where I played a small solo acoustic set for a limited audience upstairs above the Metro.

This I believe was the very first acoustic set I ever played in front of a live audience.

As for the full band set.
We played two nights in a row.
The first night was was way better but night two was the night we were recording. Ha.

From what I recall, some of the band stayed up all night partying after the first show and so the song tempos for the second night's show were all played way too fast compared to how we normally played them and many felt way rushed to me.

Overall, listening back today for the first time in years, I still feel it is a good performance and the recording is solid but optimally we should have recorded both nights so we could've chosen between the two sets.
But alas. I suppose that's how it alway goes. isn't it? Ha.
And the rest they say is history.
