A broadcast entry for the first episode of the first series of Pop Idol.

This broadcast entry will only concern itself with performances, performances are listed in the order that they appear in the show and credited to the performer if known.

The show is edited in a way that there are plenty of "montage" sequences (usually grouping either good or bad performances). Many of these do not provide performer names, so they will be credited to unknown, however sometimes the auditioners entry number (seemingly a sticker attached to their torso) is visible - if that is the case that will be included in the credit. If the number is partially visible the hidden numbers will be replaced with a "?".

Names are interpreted as best as possible, as with spelling - as names rarely appear printed on screen.
