Get Happy!

~ Release by Ella Fitzgerald (see all versions of this release, 5 available)

Annotation

Kind of a hodge-pot assembling together various cuts from earlier sessions that didn't make it onto the original issues.
Some (all?) of the cuts here have since been added to the corresponding releases extended reissues.
Was also circulating as Verve MGVS 6102.
Though a prime example of Ella's astonishing scat and singing capabilities, it's probably a buy that should be reserved to completists and other die-hard maniacs.
Newcomers should better get one of the Songbook, or Ella Swings Lightly.
