The Cats And The Fiddle were one of the literally hundreds of vocal groups who came to prominence during the late 1930’s in the wake of the phenomenal success of The Ink spots. Here are sixteen examples of their masterful jump, jive and swing 78’s mixed with sublime harmony vocals on bluesy ballads that set the scene for the emergence of Doowop in the 1950’s.
