5G – And You Die!

It was originally written just before the Summer Solstice of 2019 after some parts of the 5G network were turned on in New Zealand. Rhythm guitars and bass were recorded on the Summer Solstice of 2019 with a view to this song having a quick turnover.

However, then Covid-19 hit and it seems pointless to release this. So it sat for three years until this has mostly passed. And since this issue of so-called "15 Minute Cities" is coming to bear (of which 5G is essential enabling infrastructure), the relevance of releasing this song has returned.

On the Eve of the Summer Solstice of 2022 remaining parts were recorded and the song was mixed. On the Day of the Summer Solstice (today as this is written) mastering was compleated and the track has been released.
