OST Composed For The Video "Tai Chi Chuan Movimento, Saúde, Longevidade"
Smart, sensitive, inspiring: Priscilla Ermel's music is one of the finest works in Brazilian new age music. Made for relaxing, meditating, dancing, or practicing Tai Chi Chuan. But first of all, made with great quality. The quality of an artist, a great musician, who can play numerous instruments, including ocarinas, zithers, and synthesizers; musical quality, with melodies and harmonies - that I know - you're going to like and feel delighted by; great technical quality, from Priscilla Ermel's artistic motivation — which means bringing love, peace, ease, thought, and inspiration to this end of the millennium. If you like Egberto Gismonti, Pat Metheny, and others, this album is for you.

"There is in nature a creative energy, two different breaths: yin and yang, which, in a pulsating movement, link themselves together and create everything, including mankind.
This breath of vital energy given away by the sky and the Earth is what we truly and genuinely possess.
Not giving attention to this energy is not giving importance to life.
In the macrocosm, the energy from the sky and the Earth is linked together every day.
Man is the microcosm — the sky is our heads, and our lower bellies are the Earth. When we relax, the sun in our heads goes down and illuminates the Earth. This is the junction of man's yin and yang. This junction generates new energy in our bodies.
Tai Chi Chuan is a sentimental practice of love, one that follows the principles of nature. Notice the rotational motion of the Earth; it is as if the Earth is doing Tai Chi Chuan, renewing the air, impregnating everything with new freshness because nature's greatest virtue is birthing new life.
Mankind belongs to nature. If we practice Tai Chi Chuan every day, we reclaim our creating nature."
Master Liu Pai Lin
In the essence of sound is the rhythm of air, of the gestures and movements of life. The music from this album, this breath, is Master Liu Pai Lin's. In sync with his movements of slow and deep pulsation, I gave shape and life to this music that naturally takes us to meditative states of consciousness. When listening to it, our pulse slows down, and our breath grows serene. The movements are internal, performed with gentle and circular gestures. The music is quiet, an expression of silence, where and when we start listening to our inner voices in resonance with the voices of nature and the universe.

Tai Chi Chuan was and still is considered by many the supreme form of Chinese martial arts. It silences the rational mind and takes intuition to the life of an undifferentiated one. Priscilla Ermel's Tai Chi is music that intends to arouse a feeling of peace and ease. It is meditative music, metamusic, silent music that requires the listener to be concentrated and mindful of a single point. It is music that should be experienced with a fully attentive mind and, at the same time, with the numb capture of sonic reality, an 'ad integrum' activity that obeys the complementary nature of intuition and reason.
Tai Chi - Gestos de Equilíbrio seems to address those adherent to oriental mysticism, but actually, it is music that grows in the will of counterbalancing the excessive emphasis on the rationalist, individualist, and positivist values and behavior that spreads over western music.
Tai Chi - Gestos de Equilíbrio is nostalgic music — of a personal nostalgia... And of a courageous simplicity that aims at creating that atmosphere of anguish being relieved that humans demand.
