Annotation

This musical marked the Broadway debut of then 19-year-old Barbra Streisand as well as her first professional recording and Columbia Records appearance. Within months of the cast assembling on Apr 1, 1962 to record the cast album, Streisand signed with Columbia on Oct 1, 1962 - and has been with them ever since.
