She's So Cool (She's So Cool by Brenna O of Wet Kiss, Melbourne)

She’s So Cool is the 2nd full-length album by Australian band Wet Kiss, released on 10 May 2022 through DERO Arcade. After a tumultuous year of fighting the local council the band who lived together in a warehouse squat in Melbourne’s Northern suburbs since 2019 were forced to vacant. In their final 2 weeks before an inevitable eviction poet and musician Brenna O along with Daniel Dog, Aldo Thomas, Ben Sendy-Smithers and Ruby Stoney record 10 tracks which would become the LP She’s So Cool.

The albums release was withheld for 2 years later and coincided with the ‘Every Inch a Lady’ tour of Australia. When interviewed by Stew Magazine the album was described as “the soundtrack to a violent noir romance where every hallways is a labyrinth and every night is the ‘night.” Wet Kiss’ sound was described by the Big Issue as “sliding between genre’s with flirtatious ease where the album marries the opulent drama of the 1920s with the 2020s against-everything attitude.”
