Annotation

With the popularity of Time-Life Music's "Treasury of Christmas" still strong, Rhino Records released a unique treasure of holiday music in this 2-disc compilation. No doubt that some of the tunes will be similar between the two releases. At this point (1992), Time-Life and Rhino were under the same major label. It would be shortly afterward that the labels would separate.

Still, this is a unique collection that stands alone from other releases. These discs are worth reviewing for the songs it includes. Brook Benton, Mabel Scott, Jackie Wilson, Mahalia Jackson, and Bobby Darin, are but a few of the artists featured singing holiday tracks that may have gone lost and forgotten. A truly pleasant musical experience
