Original version: Original soundtrack (bootleg) | Biohazard Sound Track Remix (official release)
Dual shock version: Director's Cut: Dual Shock (bootleg) | Biohazard Symphony Op. 91 (official release)

The third version of the game for the PlayStation (after the original, and then the Director's Cut), Resident Evil: Director’s Cut: DualShock OST featured a new symphonic soundtrack, replacing the original soundtrack by Makoto Tomozawa, Koichi Hiroki, and Masami Ueda. The music was credited to composer Mamoru Samuragochi, although he admitted in 2014 that he directed his orchestrator Takashi Niigaki to ghostwrite the new soundtrack. The new soundtrack was generally deemed inferior to the original; the theme to the game's mansion basement is considered one of the worst video game compositions of all time.

This official release does not contain all of the game music, notable the mansion basement music mentioned above.
