Ultraphon (Czech-German label, also known as “Ultraphone”)
~ Label
Annotation
Initially a record player produced and distributed by Deutsche Ultraphon AG created in 1925.
The label started in 1929 with the merging from DUAG with N.V. Küchenmeister's Internationale Ultraphoon Maatschappij (records and sound devices division of holding N.V. Küchenmeister’s Internationale Maatschappij voor Accoustiek).
The compagny filled for bankrupcy in July 1931 then liquidated in 1932. The records and matrix were bought back by Telefunken. Ravitas (who was already disitributing Ultraphon) took back the production center in Prague (pressing plant + recording studio) along the name for Czechoslovakia. For International releases they rely on "Supraphon".
